What a great comeback it has been for India. After losing the first Test match comprehensively, the hosts came back strongly in the second Test. The third Test ended in a draw as both teams went into the last Test match with the series hanging in balance. But it was India who came out on top in Dharamsala.

After bowling out Australia for 137 in the second innings, India got off to a steady start chasing a target of 106. Murali Vijay and KL Rahul added 46 for the first wicket before Vijay nicked one off to the keeper. Pujara didn't trouble the scorers much as he was dismissed for a duck but Ajinkya Rahane along with Rahul took the hosts home without any more damage.

India completed a remarkable victory over Australia in the fourth Test by chasing down the 106-run target inside the first session. KL Rahul scored an unbeaten half-century and led India to win with Ajinkya Rahane who made an aggressive 37 runs. Resuming the chase at 19 for no loss on Tuesday, India lost Murali Vijay and Cheteshwar Pujara but that were the only two wickets that fell. Jadeja: "Feels really good to be the No. 1 bowler. Really happy to be part of this No. 1 team. When I was batting, I was just thinking that I will take my time, but whatever Wade chirped from behind the stumps motivated me. To develop overall as a player was good to see in me. From one end Ashwin takes wickets, at time I take wickets from one end. So the pressure is always there. Good to bowl with him. Hopefully we will do well outside India as well. I am very confident now and I will try and make a hundred. It was a good wicket for fast bowlers because of the bounce and seam movement. Umesh and Bhuvi must have felt good about bowling first."

Rahul: This series has taught me a lot. After the Pune Test I could not play the big shots that was a big restriction. Nothing else matters than a Test series win against Australia. I took a few knocks, but all I was telling myself it was okay to a few hits for my team. The way Jinks came out and started hitting sixes was amazing. It is one of the best Test matches and Test series we have been part of.
Pujara: We had a fantastic series, especially after a disappointing first test. We wanted to win it 3-1, but we won it 2-1 and we are very happy. We have been having partnerships from the Bangalore Test match. I was telling KL that he was getting himself out, especially after the Bangalore test, rather than the bowlers getting him out. Not really (when asked if he wanted a break after a great season). I would still like to keep going if there were a few matches. I really enjoyed this particular season.
